Singer-songwriter Sara Q’s style blends all the flavors of the diverse influences she has always been drawn too. Sweet and funny, sassy and forceful, sexy and resonant, she is not afraid to let her rich, smoky voice command the attention of a whole room.

Along with the core of her music passion, her solo acoustic guitar act, Sara Q has also played in many different styles of band in the Grand Rapids area. She was lead vocal and rhythm guitar in rock band Chasing Our Tale, one of 5 female vocalists in Women at Play, a tenor and alto in The Grand Rapids Women’s Chorus, lead vocal and bass player in blues band Mama Q and the Mudsharks, bass player and vocalist in Mona Bone and the Royal Sloans, guitarist and vocalist in the acoustic trio The Underlings, and she presently plays mandolin and sings in the all-female Olde-Timey string band Nobodys Darlin’.
