Bruce Zeeuw

Bruce Zeeuw is a versatile musician, singer and songwriter with a solid command of grass roots alternative music. He began his career in the folk tradition of Appalachian music and country blues (Roustabout String Band, Suitcase). Then he formed the Rockabilly group "Top Down", moved into pop-rock (Pillar Of Fire), appeared on MTV with the punk/Americana band "Sciota Mills", and was a member of "The Folk Bros." Currently he plays fiddle and mandolin in "Oxter/Mahone," the celtic/Americana band. He has performed extensively throughout the midwest (Wheatland Music Festival, Spirit in the Woods festival, Hiawatha Folk Festival) and also in New York City (CBGB's, Bitter End, Lone Star Cafe, Knitting Factory). He won an Honorable Mention in the 2005 Michigan Songwriting Contest for his song "Foreman."
