"THE W-9 THING"
Both WYCE and the producers of A Winter's Tune would love to hand you a "U.S. Grant" for your contribution... unfortunately the tax game doesn't play that way. To distribute honoraria checks WYCE must have a signed W-9 form to "legitimify" the distribution.
To claim your $50 honorarium
- Get a W-9 Tax Form (available at station address below)
or fill it in online at www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw9.pdf
- Print out,
sign and date the form
- Mail W-9 to:
WYCE
ATTN: Kevin Murphy
711 Bridge St NW
Grand Rapids, MI 49504
(local folks can drop off W9 at the address above)
Fill out and send in promptly (in the next three weeks) and station manager Kevin Murphy will hand you an envelope at the show...
...otherwise a check will be mailed to you at the address on the W-9 form
NOTE: In the past some Artists have opted to not accept the honorarium
- for personal tax reasons
-
and/or to donating the money to WYCE
You may do the same but if you wish a receipt for your donation to WYCE, you'll have to take their check and write them one from your own account to get credit.
